Modernising a 1950’s swimwear icon
A fashion statement of the 1940’s and 50’s in and around the water, the flattering and fun swim dress was a favourite amongst the stylish and curvaceous ‘Hollywood’ set and was embraced by the ‘modern’ 50’s woman. The style was largely forgotten in the wake of the ever-reducing one-piece suit and the invention of the bikini - until now.
At Swim Pretty®, we have rediscovered this glamorous and curvy silhouette and redesigned it for our own modern-day woman. We have injected cheeky designs and flattering styles that enhance and complement every shape. A Swim Pretty® swim dress provides confidence and style whether you are a petite, curvy or mature wearer. A Swim Pretty® gal steps out in style, from the pool to the party! Join us now with our limited edition first collection.
For a better planet
At Swim Pretty®, we use as much sustainable and renewable yarns as possible in our garments. Our main swim dress fabrics are sourced from two sustainable global yarn manufacturers.
Our Eliza range is made from Econyl® regenerated nylon yarn which is produced by recovering nylon waste – such as fishing nets from the ocean and aquaculture and fabric scraps from mills and carpets destined for landfill.
Our other garments comprise at least 70% Repreve® sustainable, certified recycled nylon which is produced by recycling post-industrial plastic waste.
