TREASURE YOUR SWIM PRETTY® SWIM DRESS
Your swimdress will last for many seasons with proper after-swim care. Your swim dress should be equal to your favourite pair of shoes (Jimmy Choo?) or most gorgeous cocktail dress and should be treated with lots of love and care!
POST SWIM – RINSE AND HANG
A cold hand wash with a mild detergent (or a VERY gentle machine wash) is recommended after each use. If you are swimming every day this is not always practical, therefore make sure you rinse your suit at the end of the day with fresh cold water; we rinse ours under the shower and hang overnight (on the shower taps!).
If you’re swimming every day we recommend you rinse and hang every day. Include in a weekly wash on gentle cycle or hand wash with mild detergent.
- ALWAYS drip dry in the shade.
- NEVER wring your swimdress and dry in shade.
- And - ALWAYS Rinse and Hang!
- NEVER place your swim dress in a dryer
- COLD WATER wash – never HOT!
Our Swim Pretty® swim dresses are made of the lightest weight recycled and regenerated nylon and will crease if after-care advice is not followed. A hanger is your friend! Hanging your swim dress after use will allow any creases to fall from your dress. Swimming will also remove most creases from the garment.
NEVER attempt to iron your swim dress! This will melt your garment immediately!
CREAMS AND CHEMICALS
Our fabrics are sunscreen and chlorine resistant, however take care when applying creams and lotions and ALWAYS move straps out of the way and wash your swim dress with a mild detergent as recommended above.
Our Swim Pretty® swim dresses transition seamlessly from swim dress to day dress! You may find you stay in yours all day, enjoying the feel and coolness of our incredibly light and comfortable fabrics as you go about your daily routine. Be careful however to avoid food splatters around the cooktop or BBQ – we recommend you wear a full apron over your swim dress around any food preparation to keep your dress in perfect condition!
Protect your Swim Pretty® swim dress around rough surfaces. This can be anything from concrete pool tiles, pool coping and edges to wooden sun benches or sharp edges on a sun bed. We recommend you place a beach towel over any surface that you may sit or lie on in your swim dress. Note that even a torn fingernail, handbag strap or jewelry may also catch on your garment so take care when accessorising!
